Two weeks have passed since the end of the MWC - Mobile World Congress 2009 event, which took place in Barcelona, Spain and we still have in store some new material waiting to be published.Jumping a step forward, this time we cover the new releases of Spb Mobile Shell 3.0, Iris Browser 1.1.0, VITO Winterface 1.3, the all-new software Resco Contact Manager and rumors about i-mate prepping a companion for its upcoming Legionnaire smartphone.
According to Spb's press release, Spb Mobile Shell 3.0 offers a flexible engine for 3D animation, clever Facebook integration, kinetic scrolling, widgets, and multiple usability innovations.
That sure makes everyone want to upgrade from the previous versions of that touch UI, right? Check the video below if you're not yet convinced:

Torch Mobile's Iris Browser is a Webkit-based web browser for Windows Mobile which has been recently updated to version 1.1.0 (which makes it come out of Beta, I suppose).
The new build is very different from the one which the Beta testers used and, according to the developers, makes the browser capable of viewing almost any website there is.

VITO Winterface version 1.3 updates what is yet another touch-friendly GUI for Windows Mobile smartphones with touch screens (remember? We reviewed it here).
Comprising the functionalities of a launcher, a task manager, and a multitude of Today plug-ins, Winterface replaces the default Windows Mobile Professional interface and it's now skinnable, Full screen mode can now be switched on and off and URL Favorites can be collected from both IE and Opera Mobile browser.
Definitely a big change for every fan of the application!
The popular software house Resco just release Contact Manager, a nice piece of software which serves as a touch-optimized replacement for the standard contact manager of Windows Mobile.
It takes care of many duties such as managing your contacts, calls and text messages and showing them on screen in an efficient, searchable and easy to navigate way and, what's more, the application is still in its Beta phase and it can be downloaded for free!
Last but not least we're covering the recent rumors over i-mate prepping a new smartphone/laptop combo (as reported by Pocket-lint [via our friends at WMExperts]).
The upcoming i-mate Legionnaire WM 6.5 smartphone is said to be soon joining forces with the i-mate Warrior, a device looking like a netbook with a 10-inch display but working as a smartphone companion (anyone remember the Palm Foleo tagline?) for cloud computing purposes, while the Legionnaire should act as a trackpad and CPU for the companion itself.
