Hello and welcome to another week of I ♥ WinMo. We have a lot more to talk about this week and here is a summary of what we have in the headlines.First off we're covering the recent rumors over Windows Mobile 6.5 and 7, allegedly being scheduled for next september 2009 and 2010 respectively, Samsung's new mobile app store, Firefox Mobile (Fennec) released for Windows Mobile as well as the new Google Latitude functionality, available also as a feature included in Google Maps 3.0.
The biggest news story in the Windows Mobile world was the rumors over Windows Mobile 6.5 and 7. More screenshots of Windows Mobile 6.5 surfaced this week and it is rumored to be coming out in September and Motorola let slip that Windows Mobile 7 will be arriving in 2010.

Samsung launched a mobile app store this week. This store, called Samsung Mobile Applications, is available for both Symbian and Windows Mobile smartphones. There will be no initial fee for developers of paid or free apps.
The site currently has about 1,100 apps and can be visited here: Samsung Mobile Applications. However, as expected, this service is currently only for owners of Samsung devices although most of the apps are compatible with others.
As we talked about last week, Mozilla Fennec (Firefox Mobile's code name) has been released for Windows Mobile. You can download the installer .cab file directly from the developer's repository and I hope to have a short review of that next week.
And our last piece of news this week was also software related. Google has released Google Latitude, which is a way of seeing the exact location of your friends on your computer or your mobile phone.

An overview of Google Latitude
It currently is available as a stand alone gadget for iGoogle and as part of Google Maps 3.0 for BlackBerry, Windows Mobile, JAVA-enabled phones, S60 and Android-based devices such as the T-Mobile G1 and it'll soon be available for iPhone and iPod touch as well. You can learn more about it here as well as download a copy for your phone.
